Plant Controller Job in Salisbury, North Carolina US
Our client, Performance Fibers (a global manufacturer and industry leader), has engaged our services to identify a Controller for its Salisbury, NC area facility. If you are analytical, organized, and a great communicator this is the perfect opportunity for you! This position needs a professional who is motivated by a challenge. Reporting to the Operations Controller, you will become the point person for analyzing and forecasting operating performance for the plant while assuring compliance with GAAPs. This position is an integral member of both the site manufacturing team and Americas finance.
The successful candidate will have a BS degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum 5 -7 years of manufacturing financial experience. Strong cost accounting skills and SAP experience is preferred. Solid understanding of GAAPs, and financial processes are a must. Demonstrated leaderships skills are essential. In addition, you will:
· Prepare accurate daily, weekly and monthly reporting using current and developing new key performance indicators (i.e. efficiency, product cost, manufacturing spend, inventory levels, price variance, etc.) in a standard cost environment
· Define and implement new, insightful analysis of results underpinning forward looking forecasts. Challenge assumptions and lead the site team in achieving goals
· Take responsibility and lead:
- Physical Inventory process
- Manufacturing cost process including creation of standard routings/BOMs for use in an SAP environment. Test accuracy and update as required to yield high quality product cost profiles
- Establishing an effective control environment safeguarding assets and mitigating risks
- Lead the Annual Plan process and monthly forecast process engaging the site leadership team
- Development of clear, simple analytics of actual performance and the impact of trend and results on future operations
- SAP migration/implementation and systems maintenance
