Plant Electrical Engineer Job in Syracuse, New York US
We have an excellent opportunity for a Plant Electrical Engineer. The Plant Electrical Engineer works under the direction of the Plant Maintenance Manager to provide engineering support for all facility processes including design and maintenance of all IFIX systems, PLC's, Drives, Controls and programs.
Duties of the Plant Electrical Engineer will include:
· Participating in the improvement, updates, implementation and operation of an effective preventative and predictive maintenance program in order to minimize plant downtime and labor cost.
· Responsible for electrical engineering projects
· Responsible for the design, fabrication, installation and testing of electrical controls systems
· Makes recommendations that will increase productivity and efficiencies in the MaintenanceDepartment.
· Investigates equipment and software problems/requirements and makes improvement recommendations to ensure availability and reliability
· Recommends priorities and schedules to meet the needs of production, maintenance, and the general plant
Requirements include:
· Associates degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 or more years of related experience
· Knowledge of AC and DC motor drives, Allen Bradley PLCs ((Micrologix, PLC5, SLC500,ContolLogix), iFIX, PanelView)
· Knowledge of HMI programming, networking; and PLC ladder logic programming ability
