Duties of this position:
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely as per company policies and procedures
• Complete maintenance tasks related to production and equipment
• Coordinate electrical repair work with external resources
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment related electrical/control issues
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new production equipment
• Liaison with external vendors relative to electrical parts supply and repair
• Manage daily workload and priorities utilizing CMMS software
• Provide mentorship to production operators relative to electrical maintenance and troubleshooting
• Provide on-call support relative to maintenance issues as required. This role is expected to carry a company cellular phone
• Ensure annual electrical permit is maintained and electrical code requirements are adhered to
• Consult on all electrical Lock Out/Tag Out procedure developments
• Supervise contract electrical trades relative to project and maintenance support
• Ensure continuous improvement of electrical PM’s
• Consult to engineering teams relative to electrical scope of projects
Required Qualifications and Competencies for the Position:
• Ticketed Journeyman Industrial Electrician with a minimum 10 years experience in an industrial environment
• Must be highly motivated and a self-starter
• Capable of coordinating own daily work load and balancing priorities relative to manufacturing requirements
• Masters certificate would be a definite asset
• Aptitude relative to PLC programming, motor drives and control systems would be a definite asset
• Aptitude relative to PLC programming, motor drives and control systems would be a definite asset
• Mechanical aptitude would be a definite asset
