DUTIES: Back to top -Supervises a crew six ranging from 8 to 15 members in the respective trades/crafts or other employees involved in multi-craft projects. -Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences to meet overall work objectives, plans, and schedules. -Ensures quality and quantity of materials and equipment are available and used, and assigns craft skill and number of employees necessary to perform work in the required time. -Directly supervises and oversees work accomplishments of mechanics and supporting staff assigned to the crew. -Recommends improvements or other changes to the crew's function or the maintenance program undertaken. -Ensures the safety of all personnel, as well as contract or other personnel undertaking mechanical maintenance activities. -In compliance with established criteria, sets performance standards, conducts interim and annual performance reviews, and makes formal appraisals of work performance. -Ensures fair and unprejudiced employment practices in the recruitment and selection of candidates for subordinate vacancies.
