Plant Operation Coordinator (00133)
JOB SUMMARY: The Plant Operation Coordinator performs clerical and administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy, and any combination of the following tasks: supporting admin functions of the plant, data entry, interacting with internal branches as well as our external distributors and any other general duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides administrative support to the plant location
- Enters tickets, production data, cylinder movements, and raw material receipts in SAP on a frequent and daily basis
- Orders and maintains supplies and plant repair materials
- Performs filing, copying and data entry as required
- Answers telephone and gives information to callers or routes call to appropriate person
- Processes special handling in billing for customers
- Receives all incoming mail, sorts and distributes accordingly
- Prepares shipping documents for outbound freight
- Maintains neat, clean and professional appearance at all times
- Assists with compiling and entering month end inventory
- Count and verify incoming loads for accuracy
- Verify outbound loads and certify as complete prior to shipping
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1 year administrative or clerical experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Intermediate computer proficiency with MS Word and Excel
- SAP knowledge and experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic; office practices and procedures; departmental rules and regulations
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and to request clarification when needed
- Ability to maintain established records and files
- Ability to meet the public well and to deal effectively with their questions or problems, seeking assistance when needed
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, and officials in other departments
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Must be able to operate in a drug-free, tobacco-free workplace
