Description The Worldwide Plant Operations Systems Controls Data Historian Leader is responsible for achieving objectives and governance working under delegated authority from Corporate Plant Systems and Controls leadership within the plant data historian area which is inclusive with the EIA and BAITS arena. This position is accountable to the Plant Ops Systems Controls leadership for the responsibilities outlined below. Position Overview: Maintain an understanding of enterprise environment and overall value for Plant Operations Systems Controls Data Historians Tactical and Strategic support for the development, lifecycle and maintenance of data historians within the Cargill enterprise environment Development and implementation of value-added solutions, service delivery, training and education, product support and vendor management of data historians to Cargill enterprise locations globally Document and Management of standards and governing principles related to use of Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historians Relationship and service level management of vendors, internal service providers and integrators supporting Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historians Monitors overall user satisfaction and makes adjustments to Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historians Documents, educates user base and applies continuous improvements for functional and operational performance standards and best practices, with applicable compliance factors for the Cargill enterprise Data Historians Primary functional contact between Cargill and Plant Historian vendor on matching the product and service offering with Cargill?s today and future needs Primary facilitator of Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian CoE (Centers of Expertise) and key users communities Principal Accountabilities : 35% - Execution: Lead Value Creation and Best Practices New Solution Development Champion, design, organize, and implement any accepted designated solution within Cargill by utilizing the resources of the Plant Ops Systems Controls organization, Plant Support Teams, and Platform/Regional/BU/Plant Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian owners, and/or external integrators to implement these global solutions. Identify and champion external solutions which may bring value to the Cargill organization. Prioritize, support, and roll out Leading Practice initiatives agreed to within the Plant Ops Systems Controls organization. Take the lead in Operational Excellence programs for Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historians. Work with internal Learning and Development teams and vendor to create an educational process for users users create sustainable support processes for Cargill?s Data Historian that can be applied across all BUs. Assist new BUs in installation, costs, and solution management to ensure the highest rate of ROI. Work with BUs to create value added solutions in the Data Historian area. Assist BUs in creating an early ROI with Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historians instead of later in the life of a data historian solution. Work with new/potential Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian deployment sites to establish/identify processes necessary to utilize the capabilities of the selected Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian. 35% - Internal Management Document and represent standards for the use of Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian solutions within Cargill. These standards include software deployment, support, and interaction with Cargill?s service organization. Develop Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian strategy and structure. Have dedicated strategy for Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian strategy for Technology Risk Control Compliance in alignment with the Cargill?s Technology Risk and Control risk framework, organizational guidelines, policies, standards and procedures and in alignment with plant operational process-human safety-food/feed/regulatory compliance policies-guidelines-standards-procedures. Coordinate the communication of the strategy, policies and processes globally through the Plant Ops Systems Controls organization to the Plant Support leadership team and BU ops leadership team and stakeholders. Integrate Information Risk Management into the technology and relevant business processes (process-human safety-food/feed/regulatory) using the tools and processes available. Communicate and assist with driving consistent risk and control processes are developed in a consistent manner for Data Historians, with TGRC direction, at a global, cross-BU level to serve the needs of the entire organization. 20% - External Management § Manage Cargill?s relationship with selected Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian vendor and other service providers to increase the use of contract services to meet the above duties. § Identify, educate, and manage Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian Subject Matter Experts and Super Users § Project manage, assist with, educate, provide consultation and drive technical requirements, and direction for standard implementations, solution scopes and deployment of Cargill ?standard solutions?. § Manage global solutions, product patches, upgrades and license management for solutions deployed within the Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian arena which may utilize both internal and external resources to develop, deploy, monitor and support. § Primary contact and manager of the contract between Cargill and the selected Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian vendor and provide feedback to the Plant Systems Controls Organization, Plant Support Teams, and Platform/Regional/BU/Plant Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian owners on questions about the contract. Work with the Tartan organization to determine if an architectural solution using Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historians for access to the plant floor can be created. Provide guidance in this area. 10% - Other Duties as assigned Qualifications Required : Bachelor?s Degree Ability to travel 50% - 75% 5+ years managerial work experience in plant operation environment covering areas of experience in EIA and BAITS (Business Application Information Technology Security) domains. Project management skills for regional and/or global Plant Ops Systems Controls Data Historian projects 5+ years operational experience Experience with Global Roll Outs Proven record of implementing solutions in Process Industry Active participation in the definition, sharing, deployment and improvement of common plant solutions Proven ability to work in a multicultural environment with large scale of diversities Leadership and effective communication skills, including presentation skills. Excellent networking skills to build internal and external networks. Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, lead, coach, engage, collaborate, and develop teams within a matrix organization.
