Plant Operations Technician 2012-M065 Job in Chico 76431, Texas US
Job Duties / Responsibilities (specific to the department, location or position)
- Review and monitor plant operation/processes for optimizing quality and production of products meeting required data specifications. The responsibility of the technician is to work safely, have good trouble shooting skills on mechanical equipment (natural gas internal combustion engines, natural gas compressors, electrical and pheumatic controls, pumps, and control equipment.
- The position is primarily at, but not limited to the Chico Plant.
- The schedule will consist of 12 hour rotatiang shifts and will require some weekends and holidays to be worked.
- The position also has associated callouts and overtime.
- Duties will include working at field compressos stations and the truck loading rack.
Chico - Technician will also be required to perform certain PSM functions and activities.
- Perform routine shutdowns and startup of equipment and perform emergency procedures when required.
- Training of co-workers in safe and proper job procedures.
- Install equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves and perform general maintenance when needed.
- Need to establish good communications with co-workers and management.
Minimum Essential Qualifications (include physical requirements)
- Completion of advanced mechanical training or certificates, or equivalent experience (2+ years)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver license and safe driving record.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds.
- Outdoor and indoor working conditions (may include some weekend, night time and/or inclement weather)
- Live with 30 minutes of Chico Plant
- Able to work 12 hour schedule
Preferred Qualifications (used as a tool to prioritize candidates that meet minimum qualifications)
- 3+ years experience in maintenance of natural gas stationary engines and compressors
- Has a good understanding of utilizing horsepower and compression.
- Able to troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Good computer skills
- Process Safety Management knowledge
