Responsibilities:
- Assists in manufacturing the plant products in accordance with established quality standards and production schedules
- Controls and regulates the quality and flow of work in the plant through the production supervisors who are directly under the plant superintendent’s supervision
- Analyzes production schedules, material reports and information on the availability of personnel and equipment with emphasis on production and quality goals and costs
- Determines which products should be produced and the sequence of their production; initiates requisitions for additional personnel, equipment, and materials; advises each supervisor of the production required from his/her assigned department
- Continually reviews the progress of production through personal observation and analysis of reports on departmental production, quality, and shipments made
- Modifies instructions as necessary to obtain an acceptable product of the number and type as specified by Material Control
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Operations, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred
- 5+ year experience in manufacturing and supervision required
- Experience in Metals manufacturing and supervisor development strongly preferred; Experience in the automotive industry desired
- Experience with SAP business management software or similar software required
