Position: Platform Finance Director (Hyundai/KIA Business Unit)
Salary Grade: 59-60
Location: Plymouth, MI or West Point, GA
The Hyundai/KIA business unit, one of the fasting growing business units in North America seeks a Platform Finance Director to serve as the lead of commercial finance activities for its seating business. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the launch programs achieve the financial targets that have been committed to the organization, as well as improving the margins and executing commercial roadmaps for existing programs. This position also guides a staff of 3 AFMs and provides them direction on pricing strategies for customer changes, and serves as the key financial liaison to the sales team, including participating in commercial negotiations directly with the customer.
This individual will be expected to prepare and lead TBPs, QBPs and CAR preparation. The PFD will closely with purchasing to establish targets for sourcing of external components and with the costing and product group commercial finance organization to establish cost and market price for internally purchased components.
4 year college degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience. Strong financial background in the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of cost drivers in Automotive seating products (both product and process) highly preferred. Proven analytical decision-making and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) are mandatory. A working understanding of PLUS and the finance deliverables is mandatory. Past experience in a commercial finance role and experience in customer interaction. Knowledge of JCI finance tools (i.e. Metrix/HFM/SAP), as well as outstanding organization and documentation skills are strongly preferred. Ability to lead and develop a team. 20-25% travel with some international travel necessary. Bilingual (English/Korean) candidates strongly preferred.
