A leading Insurance client now requires a Platform Manager, Technology Lead to:
-Provide technology leadership to delivery functions in the identification, creation and delivery of technology solutions, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with vertical delivery towers.
-Maintain effective relationships with the supply arm and third party vendors to ensure the right depth and breadth of resource capabilities available to support platform demand
-Own the creation, maintenance and publication of platform/service roadmaps for associated platforms within remit.
-Develop and own the forward plan ensuring a complete view of the demand is fully defined.
-Develop fluid, flexible and responsive team of global resources that are multi-disciplined across the platforms
The ideal Platform Manager, Technology Lead will have the following skills:
- Proven leadership, communication and influencing skills.
- Proven experience of ongoing development for a large scale transactional organisation.
- Experience of improving speed to market through the rationalisation and parameterisation of legacy platforms
- Experience of Industry standards relating to services and solutions and delivery of change
- Track record of exerting significant influence to business and technology partners for large/complex projects and programmes in a financial services organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of working with internal, third party and India based resources and vendors.
- The ability to quickly form productive relationships with technology and business stakeholders.
- Highly capable influencing, communication and presentation skills; able to explain and present simple to complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to explain the risks involved in the solution options available, from a business and technology perspective.
- Ability to work across the organisation at a senior level.
- Ability to work with third parties and a solid understanding of commercial and contractual obligations.
- PRINCE 2 accredited
