Purpose: Assures plating operations for products are to quality standards and procedures

o Basic chemical knowledge and willing and able to work with chemicals
o Ability to read, write, and speak English and to communicate effectively
o Ability to recognize problems and react quickly and be able to work independently
o Fork Truck experience and computer skills
o Must be able to work any shift and all overtime required
o Ability to lead others
Major Duties and Job Responsibilities:
o Maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety principles, maintain accepted housekeeping standards and maintain 5 S disciples above, on, around, and below the plating line
o Work on continuous improvements of yields
o Assure prescribed operations, processes, and operational sequences are followed
o Maintains, cleans, and fills all chemical feeder pumps
o Makes the chemical additions required and calibrates the chemical feeder pumps
o Checks tank temperatures, pH, and operation of auxiliary equipment
o “Fishes” the process tanks for fallen parts for removal
o Inspects all related piping and pumps for leaks and assures that they are in operating condition
o Carry out weekly and monthly plating tanks’ maintenance, including the dumping, cleaning and preparation of the process baths as required
o Assure all the auxiliary plating equipment is in operating condition
o Maintain the preventative maintenance schedule for all the auxiliary plating equipment such as filters, regeneration stations and evaporation units
o Assist chemical maintenance technicians and waste treatment operators
o Perform daily and weekly plating line equipment inspection
o Assist in the start-up and shut down of the plating line
o Clean, label, and remove all containers used in the plating department
o Responsible for CSM 3 impact that are assigned
o Unload material from trailers and store these materials in the designated place
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to stand or walk on concrete floor for 8+ hours and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
o Requires hand, arm, back, and leg strength; also bending and squatting ability
o Must have eye, foot, and hand coordination, and be able to do repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor manipulation
o Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures perform work indoors / outdoors as needed
