We are currently looking to recruit a Service Engineer - Plumbing for the Manchester/Leeds/Lancashire area to provide a technical service with the minimum of supervision to the companies clients in respect of service, repairs, maintenance and installation on a variety of Building Services.

 

 

 Duties:

Carry out skilled heating/combustion maintenance, repair and improvements.

Install new plant and equipment when required.

Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant.

Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings.

Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner.

Maintain stock control systems as directed.

Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops and storage areas.

Work safely, ensuring the safety and well being of yourself, colleagues, customers and visitors.

Carry out on call duties as part of the branch rota.

To undertake other General PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.

To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.

To ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria.

To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.

To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.

To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.

To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.

To be fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs at all times.

To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents / records are maintained accurately.

Knowledge, Skills Experience

 

Minimum educational qualifications
City Guilds 6129 / City Guilds 6089 NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
A full driving licence is essential for this role.

COCN 1 gas qualification.

 

Minimum Experience
Significant previous experience in a similar mobile service environment.
Must be flexible in their approach to work.

 

Desirable Qualifications   
City Guilds 2330.

 

Desirable Experience
Carpentry experience.
