PMLD TA Job

We are looking for an experienced SEN TA to work with PMLD primary and secondary aged children. Ideally you will have a proven track record of supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD, MLD and ASD. In addition to this, social care or health care experience is desired as the role will entail personal care. Experience of managing IEPs, support plans, care plans, risk assessments, one to one and group work is beneficial. Hays Education is working in partnership with this School, based in East London, who cater for pupils with profound multiple learning difficulties and severe learning difficulties with additional complex needs.

The right candidate will have an empathetic way; you will need to have an understanding of what is required for working with children of this nature.

• Passionate and have the ability to motivate children to reach their full academic potential
• Must be able to engage pupils within education and help remove barriers to learning
• Target orientated and determined to develop all children in your care
• High standards for the pupils you are working with, have the ability to challenge students
• Stand out from the crowd in terms of skill set, personal achievements, interests, or hobbies

You will be working within a special school setting as a TA working one to one or within small groups. The Head teacher is keen to hear from those who have worked across the education, social care and healthcare sector supporting children with complex care/needs.
