PMO (Finance Change) recruitment
Position Description:
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a PMO to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a PMO, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
RBS Group has embarked on a major investment programme, Finance Transformation Programme (FTP), which incorporates six programmes of work. The aim of the programme is to create a leading Finance function leading the way in supporting its business partners. The programme is global in scope and covers, location strategy, technology, operating model and processes across all the groups divisions.
The FTP change team is tasked with the delivery of the initiatives identified to specified timelines and budget.
This role is a key member of the PMO team supporting the Global Finance Services (GFS) stream within the FTP programme and will be responsible for working with the PMO, Programme Manager and team in supporting a consistent and effective approach to project programme management, financial management, MI, governance control and communications.
This role will require the individual to assume a proactive, strategic thinking approach and work collaboratively to support the Programme Manager in ensuring the creation and ongoing management of a successful programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with status reporting requirements for the Programme.
- Track actions, issues, risks and dependencies and help drive through resolution or mitigation
- Assist in programme resource and financial management, in particular ensuring accurate updates are made within the global toolsets.
- Schedule workstream Steering Committees
- Schedule governance meetings and assist with collating information for the packs
- Schedule team meetings including Video conferencing for Global teams
- Collate and keep up to date team member information (org chart, seating plan, contact info, asset info etc)
- Manage joiners, leavers, movers process for team members keeping Finance Change Support up to date
- Maintenance of programme intranet and Sharepoint sites
- Responsible for timesheet entry and related queries for the programme.
- Facilitation and minute taking of key programme and project meetings
- Assist in any Travel booking/approval processes that may be required on behalf of programme managers.
- Spport Programme Manager with ad hoc tasks
- Support the Global Workstream leads / PMs PMO
Essential requirements include:
PSO skills
- Understanding of the project life-cycle and tools /techniques/standards.
- Ability to communicate across different levels of seniority across the organisation using the relevant communication tool.
- High Level of accuracy and accountability for Data Entry.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Team Administrator, Project Administrator or PMO.
- Managing and coordinating directly and indirectly a number of teams.
- High organisational skills bringing together Senior Stakeholders and business partners.
Technology skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong Word and PowerPoint skills
Business skills
- Previous experience working in a large Financial Institution.
- Preferable but not essential, experience in managing across a large programme and different locations.
