Part of Worldwide Securities Services (WSS), Investor Operations Services (IOS) provides outsourcing services to asset managers, spanning full outsource and lift-outs to modular offerings/propositions. The Client Change Team within IOS Middle Office is responsible for driving continuous evolution of business capabilities and operating model by delivering changes mandated by the Client in close interaction with the rest of the WSS organization, including but not limited to: Relationship Managers, Product, Technology, Fund Accounting, Cash Administration, Operational Risk, Compliance Reporting, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
The Client Change team supports implementation of a wide range of projects, including fund launches, new market set-up, product extensions, migrations, rebranding changes, report development, infrastructure upgrades, etc. The PMO function within the team provides central coordination and tracking of these projects across JPM IOS and facing off to our counterparts within Clients' organizations. A great importance is placed on continuous improvement and the successful candidate will be expected to add value by being innovative and constantly seek to improve the current processes and procedures. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement a proposal for consolidation of the PMO function currently split across the two UK sites
- Manage the team of PMO analysis in delivering the PMO function including but not limited to project reporting, issue management, risk tracking and mitigation, resource and budget tracking, and scorecarding in support of the Client Change agenda.
- Work alongside of Project Managers and Business Analysis to develop and monitor work plans which include clear objectives, roles/resources, tasks and measures of success.
- Develop, track, analyze, and publish project and financial reports, scorecards and program/project performance trends to internal and Client Stakeholders.
- Support management of smaller/less complex projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing the issue resolutions process and taking corrective action or escalating the issue when appropriate.
- Help measure project results, including client satisfaction.
- Ensure process control and improvement by helping identify and implement best practices
- Tracking and reporting on planned vs actual project costs and headcount
- Ensure projects are completed within established time schedules, and that objectives conform to corporation/LOB's overall standards and operations objectives and user requirements
- Prepare status updates and metrics reporting to senior management and stakeholders
- Follow and ensure adherence to Project Delivery Framework
Stakeholders:
Internal business partners across various business and product areas of JPM WSS, senior management, Relationship Managers, Technology , IOS Clients - Major Asset Managers.
Qualifications:
- Successful track record of working in business PMO for multi-million dollar programs with extensive stakeholder communications including complex and high profile client accounts
- Excellent negotiation, conflict-resolution, prioritization, multi-tasking, interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical, structured approach to problem solving
- Excellent time management
- Exceptional attention to detail, commitment to quality of deliverables, ability to influence an organization to deliver the same
- Relentless focus on understanding / interrogating data to find the facts and identify discrepancies
- Ability to challenge the 'status quo' and facts as presented if not aligned to other data sources.
- Ability to communicate and articulate findings / reports to senior stakeholders in written / spoken work and quantitative data supported by the relevant visuals
- Expert level in Access, Excel, PowerPoint
- Professional Project Management qualification strongly preferred
- Business process reengineering experience
- Team player with ability work with colleagues in a collaborative manner, as well as being able to proactively progress multiple tasks independently
