PMO/Portfolio Manager/Resource Manager recruitment
Direct responsibilities include financial management, risk control, resource strategy, people strategy, communication strategy, program management and other organizational activities.
This position requires a diverse skill candidate with general management skills, leadership abilities and administrative zeal, who can manage and lead a variety of activities geared at keeping Asset Servicing, spend in financial, staffing and compliance control within established targets. The position requires the candidate to have dual reporting line to GMOT COO / office, and have strong ties with the GMT COO office ICG Program office, Financial Control Organization, Risk Control unit and the technology business teams.
Main duties will be:
- Portfolio Management and PMO support for Asset Servicing and High Level Resource Management for the Chief Operating Officer's Office for EMEA as part of a 3-man team.
- Manage all facets of daily operations, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures including: financial forecasting, headcount planning, audit control, and centralized policy/reporting.
- Manage budget and staffing needs for technology projects by partnering with technology project managers to understand scope of effort, work deliverables, and project plans.
- Conduct any and all business analysis needed to support the technology "business" (e.g. expense forecast analysis, budget reviews, organizational structure).
- Develop senior management presentations by aggregating and synthesizing information.
- Develop and implement a set of consistent metrics to manage a global technology organization utilizing best practices and working with stakeholders and counterparts accordingly.
- Manage the standard use of tools and templates to facilitate project planning and governance across the organization.
- Review and monitor the key performance indicators across the organization.
- Prepare reports, briefings and presentations on strategic issues, as appropriate.
- Work closely with financial control, human resources and other key support areas to maximize efficiency.
- Facilitate various management meetings, including staff meetings, monthly business reviews and team off-sites. Assist SMT in defining tech strategy and developing an implementation plan; Coordinate resource strategy and ensure organizations span of control strategy is on track
- Vendor management - Ensure efficient execution of contracts thru the procurement process
- Support the bi-annual goal and appraisal process; Coordinate resource hiring; manage group leadership and training initiatives; organize and control real estate space requirements
- Work with Central Business Office to develop consistent and efficient processes to ensure development staff has minimal involvement in administrative activities
- Take the lead on the communication strategy (e.g. town halls, new hire events) for the department.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - will have interaction with senior technology and business managers.
- Demonstrated capabilities in quantitative and data analysis.
- Demonstrated success in managing deliverables within aggressive timeframes; ability to cope under time pressures and juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong Organizational Savvy (ability to deal with various levels of business and technology management).
- Demonstrated project management / prudent financial management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products - i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Working knowledge of Citigroup and Citi specific applications, like PTS-W a Plus.
