PM/PMO – Software Delivery recruitment

The successful candidate will help with the program management effort and delivery of a major global renovation of an area of the business.  The role will report directly to the Project Delivery Manager and interacting with a technology team, BU and operational support services.  The role is based in London with stakeholders and teams distributed across 6 geographic locations.

The scope of the candidate’s involvement necessitates someone that is proactive, diligent, comfortable dealing with large volumes of data, and thrives in an environment of change.

Skills Required:   

• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• - Knowledge and experience of Project and Program Management techniques / methodologies.  

• - Ability to interact and empathize with development teams, demonstrating the ability to act as a value add partner for those teams.

• - Must be comfortable working with senior level managers across a global organization.

• - Ability to manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines. Need to be able to quickly understand firedrill requirements and proactively follow up with delivery managers to ensure adherence to tight deadlines.

• - Good organisational, presentation and general follow-up skills required.

• - Microsoft Project with demonstrable experience of constructing and critiquing project plans.

• - Willingness to take ownership and accountability to execute and deliver on goals; strong commitment to high quality standards.

• - Excellent time management skills, ability to efficiently prioritize and multitask, and work under pressure to meet deadlines and team objectives.

• - Proven ability to influence and challenge status-quo, improve processes and drive results.

• - Independent creative problem solving.

• - Strong team spirit and relationship management skills, customer focused.

• - Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables, vlookups), PowerPoint.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:               

• - Investment Banking Experience

• - Background in managing Technology projects – application development.

• - Strong academic track record.

SKILLS DESIRED:               

• - Understanding of internal billing allocations, as they relate to project management.

• - Agile delivery methodologies.

• - VBA
