The City of Harbor Beach is accepting applications for position of full-time police officer. Prospective candidates must have an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or related field. The City of Harbor Beach would also prefer some experience and or a Bachelors Degree, however, they are not a prerequisite for the job. The job description of Police Officer for the City of Harbor Beach includes the following: proper execution of assigned duties, prevention and suppression of criminal activity, enforcement of ordinances and laws, maintenance of discipline and public relations, and the adherence to rules and regulations including departmental policies, general orders, and responsible care of departmental equipment. The position of police officer shall be responsible for following the City of Harbor Beach "Police Personnel Rules" which are available upon completion of the interview and hiring process.
