Policies & Procedures Vice President
The main duties and responsibilities to be developed by the Policies and Procedures VP will be as follows:
- Define all the relevant internal policies and procedures in conjunction with the business and supporting areas within CIB (Global Markets, Investment Banking, Transactional Banking and Corporate Banking).
- Update current procedures and policies under the continuous improvement scope.
- Identify, define and implement new improvements in terms of processes with CIB
- Support CIB Model implementation thru the different areas.
- Understand the regulatory and legal framework applicable for BBVA NY and especially within CIB business.
- Define and support Growth Plans within CIB NY.
High level of complexity, the team interacts with senior levels of the Business Lines CIB Team, Internal Control, Internal Audit, Compliance, Policies and Procedures Global, or any other business or support units that required to define and implement the policies and procedures that need required the varies business lines.
Skills, knowledge, abilities/Competencies:
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting, Industrial Engineers or similar.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in internal audit, policies and procedures, compliance, internal control, sox functions in Banking, Financial Institutions, consulting/audit firms or internal audit activities related to banking activities preferable corporate banking (treasury, lending, trade finance).
- Team worker.Available to travel within the different location within USA, CIB premises.
- Change and organizational management skills.
- Understanding of the current CIB business and organization.
- Understanding of the current regulatory and legal framework, including internal control main functions (SOX, Operational Risk, etc)
- Leading capabilities to deal with business and support units within BBVA Compass and CIB
- Advanced skills on Excel spreadsheets, Power Point presentations, Word, Outlook, Acrobat.
- English proficiency-. Spanish is also appreciated.
