Nexam chemical AB is looking for an experienced polymer processing scientist/engineer to apply her/his skills and knowledge to the manufacturing and processing of cross linkable thermoplastics.

Nexam chemical AB is a privately owned company, est. 2009, with the head office in Lund which is in the south of Sweden. The business involves sales, marketing, development and production of a new and truly disruptive technology: crosslinking polymers (plastics), whereby material properties of these polymers are boosted to new and previously unreachable levels, opening additional applications and markets.
Nexam has a global customer base and is involved in several development programs in Europe, Japan and USA.
Nexams products targets many applications like tablets, jet engines, automobile engines, solar panels etc. in companies like BASF, NASA, Sony, Fujifilm to name a few.

The position will include:
- Compounding and reactive extrusion development.
- Development of processing technologies such as injection molding, compression molding and extrusion techniques.
- Technical support/problem solving at customers
- Thermal, rheological and mechanical polymer characterization.
The ambition is that the successful candidate will lead the polymer processing development as Nexam continues to grow.
This role will require extensive customer contacts and international travel, app. 50 days/annum.
Din profil
To succeed in your work at Nexam as a polymer scientist/engineer we expect you to hold a MSc. in Polymer Materials or Chemical Engineering.
A PhD. in Polymer processing is meriting as you will become the main interface to our customers regarding processes such as injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding and compression moulding.
Fluency in English is required and Swedish skills are meriting.
As a person you are a good team player, ambitious and secure. You need to be result orientated and structured on a daily basis. To qualify for this position, a combination of strong communication skills and analytical focus is required.
