Portal Development Manager – VP – £100-110k recruitment

Essential experience:

-Development team lead experience with strong technical background

-Extensive experience in Investment Banking

-Hands on development, leading by example.

-Good understanding of application architecture: Java, Oracle, IBM BPM Workflow

-Project Management skills

-Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams and activities and deliver complex projects to tight deadlines.

-People management skills (teams of 10-30), capable of supervising, motivating, training/coaching and managing permanent and 3rd party project staff.

-Client Management skills, ability to engage with the key business stakeholders and deliver to their requirements. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

-3rd Party Vendor management skills.

As part of this programme there is a requirement to consolidate the various existing Risk and Finance adjustments tools into a single common adjustments portal. Delivery of this tool will effectively underpin the success of the entire programme.   The Portal will be required to be scalable, and cope with the potential for several thousand adjustments, being applied by various means, at any one time.  The role will have regular interaction with senior Risk, Global Markets, Finance and IT management to understand the requirements for multiple Finance functions. The projects will be run iteratively, involving the business at every step so experience of this kind of development process is key.
