Portfolio Administrator/Fund Accountant recruitment

This company has been formed from the merger of a highly successful Foundation and family office and will look after the interests of a number of substantial foundations and charities.

This is a new role positioned within the Asset Management team and the successful candidate will play a key part in the day-to-day delivery of investment accounting related services.

Responsibilities of the Portfolio Administrator/Fund Accountant include, but are not limited to:

• Support the Operations Director to provide valuation reporting and to act as a key contributor in a small middle office team

• Oversight of the portfolio accounting function including monthly, quarterly and annual valuations and investment reports

• Active personal involvement in keyboard input to the portfolio management system (Advent Axys/APX), coordination of transactions and corporate actions with custodians and fund administrators

• Undertaking the investment recording and reporting of multi asset portfolios

• Production of quarter end analysis and statistical data

• Building and maintaining relationships while assisting the operations director and liaising with Front Office

• Cash Position reconciliations to Custodians and Administrators

To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria:

• Very strong attention to detail. Enthusiasm and self-motivation

• Good spreadsheet skills essential

• Exposure to cash reconciliations and projected cash flow and NAV calculation

• Understands the life cycle of a trade, can take it to settlement

• A team player with a motivational, hands-on approach

• Knowledge of Advent Axys or APX reporting systems highly desirable
