Portfolio Analyst – Property, Infrastructure and Private Capital
Sunsuper was established in 1987 as an independent, multi-industry superannuation fund. Today, Sunsuper is one of Australia’s largest industry funds with more than one million members and around $18 billion in funds under management.
Due to continued growth, an opportunity exists to join Sunsuper as a Portfolio Analyst in our Sydney office working within the Property, Infrastructure and Private Capital team.
The Role
As a Portfolio Analyst you will work with the CIO, Portfolio Managers and other colleagues along with external advisors to devise and implement Sunsuper’s ongoing investment program. This role will provide the successful candidate with exposure to the global spectrum of investment strategies, opportunities and managers. Specifically, you will be involved in:
- Assisting with portfolio management of Sunsuper’s unlisted assets;
- Creating and maintaining databases to monitor existing portfolios;
- Researching and modelling new and existing investments;
- Assisting with manager selection and due diligence; and
- Liaising with fund managers, consultants and other service providers.
Criteria
To be successful in this role you must have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics or commerce, preferably with post-graduate studies;
- Relevant experience in private investments, consulting, valuation or investment banking; and
- Good communication and organisational skills.
You will also possess strong mathematical, analytical and modelling skills and enjoy working independently.
