Portfolio Analyst recruitment
Daily functions would include but not be limited to:
- Daily verification of Fund Valuations
- OTC Trade processing including trade confirmation, processing resets, unwinds, and settlements.
- Collateral Management
- Checking ISDA trade level confirmations
- Cash Forecasting. Monitoring Subscriptions and Redemptions
- Monitoring FX Hedging
- Query investigation and resolution
- Performance monitoring, calculation and attribution
Key external interactions will be with the client, custodians, fund administrators and counterparty. Internally interactions would be with fund managers, traders, the reconciliations team, compliance, risk, trade support, legal and client administration.
Education and Experience
- Operations experience gained from an investment manager, custodian, prime broker, fund administrator, hedge fund, or investment bank.
- Degree qualified with a financial or analytical discipline preferred.
- Investment Administration Qualification completed or completing considered an advantage.
- Collateral Management experience a strong advantage.
Product Experience Desirable: Fixed Income, Equities, FX spot and forwards, Equity Swaps, Equity Index Swaps, Total Return Swaps, ETFs.
Skills/ Knowledge
- Analytically minded with strong problem solving skills
- Understanding investment markets and settlement.
- Understanding of product and fund valuation useful.
- Performancemeasurement experience very useful.
- Exposure to Collateral Management.
- Strong MS Windows applications, specifically Excel.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Willing to assume responsibility and take ownership of tasks assigned.
Exposure to Bloomberg is an advantage.
