Portfolio Assurance Manager recruitment

Requirements

Technical: Strong Programme and Assurance Management skills combined with detailed understanding of required methodologies. Track record of the successful delivery of large, complex programmes. Experience of conducting programme assurance reviews.

Responsibilities• Conduct regular assurance reviews at key checkpoints in a project lifecycle for those project s of medium complexity and more than £5M in value• Produce assurance recommendations and action plans following each review • Maintain the Portfolio Assurance Framework to ensure the effective operation of Portfolio Assurance within the RBSI portfolio. This includes:

o        governance

o        templates, processes, checklists

o        assessor role definitions

o        database of trained assessors

o        training materials/courses/user guides

• Produce and agree (with key stakeholders) a rolling assurance plan to ensure that critical projects are assessed at required intervals

• Identify and secure resources (potentially from various IT / Business areas) to undertake required specialist assurance activities

• Ensure that the appropriate stakeholders, project managers and assessors receive training on the assurance framework

• Where required, work with projects to agree recovery plans to return projects to delivery health

• Build strong and effective working relationships with change managers

• Create and maintain a facility where stakeholders, project managers and assessors can get up to date information on Portfolio Assurance, including access to the current toolkit, assurance plans and news.
