Portfolio Business Unit Control – AVP recruitment
The focus of the Portfolio Management business is the independent and pro-active credit stewardship of the investment banking portfolio. The business plays a key role in the management of the capital and balance sheet, both in terms of new business approvals, ongoing hedging and risk management strategies.
Job Description
- Profit and loss reporting and analysis via flash and monthly actuals for allocated Portfolio businesses
- Balance sheet analysis and commentary for monthly reporting and analysis
- Transaction support covering balance sheet accounting, fee income recognition and capital implications for large transactions in conjunction with the Finance Technical Accounting team
- Support finance system and operating model changes
Job Requirements
- Qualified accountant
- Commerical mindset
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial control/product control functions of financial institutions
- Strong controls mindset
- Goodinterpersonal and communication skills, ability to liaise effectively with key internal stakeholders across various levels in the organisation
