PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Student Intern program at Union Bank has a reputation for providing college students with the opportunity to participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the overall business unit objectives. In addition to the assigned projects, Interns are given the opportunity to participate in activities that encourage networking with peers, managers, and bank employees. The paid intern positions are full-time (40 hours/week during regular business hours) during the summer. The length of the internship is 12 weeks and can extend beyond that time depending on business needs, project requirements, and intern availability. POSITION OVERVIEW Based in downtown Los Angeles, the Portfolio Data Management Intern will support the Corporate Treasury Portfolio Management team in an important and visible project. The project goal is to convert data storage and reporting process currently in production in MS Access to a bank IT supported platform. In this role, you will gain exposure to key people in various roles in the Portfolio Management Team, including Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Analysts, Treasury Technology team members, Global Capital Markets System team, and the Business Intelligence team. The internship will provide insights into fixed income portfolio management, risk analysis and performance measurement. This will also provide hands on experience in the daily management of a large fixed income portfolio.
