Portfolio Director recruitment
Our client, a leading global bank, seeks an internationally experienced, senior credit risk management professional for the role of Director, Retail Credit Risk - Global Banking, reporting to the Managing Director – Group Retail Credit Risk.
This high profile role carries responsibility for ensuring that credit risk is measured, monitored, managed and reported appropriately within the business as well as to the Group and includes reporting and providing feedback on the designated portfolio performance to Exco/Board.
Possessing significant experience of credit risk management and the retail/business banking credit product life-cycle, you will challenge and debate local and industry issues, understand emerging retail credit risk trends, and you will manage credit risk for various banking products across multiple global entities.
You will need an in depth understanding of key quantitative, statistical modelling techniques and approaches and will have managed complex portfolios across numerous geographies.
Developing and implementing a vision that integrates key goals and priorities, you must be able to demonstrate excellent persuasive, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills. The ability to manage discussion and debate at a senior executive level and to communicate effectively and with authority with both specialist and generalist audiences will be key to your success in this role.
You will possess broad risk experience gained in differing roles across more than one part of the risk process - for example within a business unit, group centre, group overview and risk control - and will be used to working in high performing, heavily matrixed organisations.
The Director, Retail Credit Risk - Global Banking role will be based at the Bank's headquarters in London, UK.
