Job Summary
The Portfolio Implementation Specialist will assist the Portfolio Management Teams with their day-to-day investment management and portfolio execution responsibilities, including: investing new accounts, investing deposits, raising funds for withdrawals, implementing model portfolio changes, and monitoring investment guidelines and tax related issues.
The ideal candidate will be highly detail oriented and analytical, be familiar with trade order management and portfolio accounting systems and have a basic understanding of US tax law related to equity investments.
Responsibilities
- Execute portfolio transactions related to new accounts, deposits and withdrawals, and model portfolio changes
- Monitor cash balances, individual security weights, dispersion and compliance with client directed portfolio guidelines in all accounts
- Monitor gain/loss positions and tax optimization opportunities in taxable accounts
- Resolve issues with trading, operations, and client service departments
- Help prepare internal business reports and assist in special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree required
- 2 -4 years of experience in the financial services field
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent work ethic and initiative
- Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities
- Ability to interact effectively with senior level staff
- Experience with portfolio management software preferred
- Knowledge of, or familiarity with, taxes (capital gains/losses on equity securities; wash sales) a plus
