Portfolio Management Analyst

Based in central London this is an exciting chance for a Graduate with relevant experience to assist the senior members of the team in managing, monitoring and reporting on a Fund’s investments.
The Fund will have a core investment team of 5 members who will be responsible for originating and executing investments, as well as on-going commercial management of the assets.
This role will require coordination with the various groups within the business

Responsibilities

Assisting in the set-up of reporting templates, formats, processes and procedures · Information management: ensuring all key information from investees are obtained, and properly maintained
Reporting: operational and business reporting / financial performance monitoring; preparation of key management information/ performance indicators
Financial and risk analysis of individual investments and portfolio’s valuation, returns and cash yield, analysis of performance against investment case and budget, tracking of key risks
Assisting in liquidity management (short-term cash flow modelling and management) and transaction documentation compliance (incl. on fees / costs / expenses);
Assisting senior Fund team members in the administration of investments’ governance (principles, rights and obligations, annual / business planning and decision making);
Investor engagement and handling specific investor reporting requirements and requests

Essential experience

A relevant University degree and minimum 2 years relevant work experience gained in investment banking, a large infrastructure fund, or in asset management;
Strong equity documentation experience;
Financial modelling experience;
Economic valuation and returns calculation experience;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills;
Strong data management and research skills;
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Preferably knowledge of the UK energy and renewables sectors
CA/ CFA training highly desirable
