Portfolio Manager – Equities (Industrials/Capital Goods) recruitment
The Sector Strategies department is seeking an experienced professional for a position as Portfolio Manager. The successful candidate will be part of the Industrials team which manages a significant fund dedicated to the industrials sector globally.
The position is located in London, and travel will be required.
Main Responsibilities:
• Manage a long only portfolio within Industrials/Capital Goods (investment mandate will depend on previous experience)
• Perform financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research
• Build and maintain company financial models and industry databases
• Develop independent investment views to be applied to the portfolio investment strategy
• Prepare and present investment cases and industry analysis in a rigorous and clear manner
• Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio companies
Main Qualifications:
• Masters degree or equivalent with strong academic records
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (e.g. equity research and/or portfolio management), having focused on the industrials/capital goods sector in US /European/Emerging markets
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of capital markets
• Ability to generate rigorous, independent and original research
• Ability to take risk positions in the equity market
