Portfolio Manager – Equities recruitment
The Sector Strategies department is responsible for a broad range of industry focused risk mandates within NBIM’s large equity portfolio. The department’s analytical work on companies and industries also serves as a resource for other equity mandates within NBIM.
The department is expanding, and is complementing its industry mandates with a limited number of broader mandates. In this connection, we are seeking an experienced professional for a position as Portfolio Manager. The successful candidate will co-manage significant portfolios with broad global mandates.
The position is located in London, and travel will be required.
Main Responsibilities:
• Co-manage a long only portfolio across sectors
• Perform financial analysis and strategic business analysis, building on other research carried out in Sector Strategies industry teams
Main Qualifications:
• Masters degree or equivalent with strong academic records
• Minimum 5 years of relevant equity experience, including ideally a period as a generalist portfolio manager
• Understanding of companies across a broad range of sectors
• Ability to generate and utilize rigorous, independent and original research
• Ability to take risk positions in the equity market
