Portfolio manager: 20% of PNL offered up to $800mio USD capital provided recruitment
Has your Sharpe ratio consistently remained above 1.5, and specifically was it above 1.5 in 2011? Have you also had consistent performance on a capital base of 50mio USD as an absoulute minimum? If you can answer yes to these then read on...
Perhaps you are an individual, or part of a small team of successful traders or portfolio managers at a hedge fund or prop desk? Perhaps you and/or your colleagues been thinking about setting up your own firm, but are unsure about raising capital and/or creating the requisite trading infrastructure?
The opportunity will involve working for a US hedge fund who have recently committed to opening a UK office. This is a multistrategy fund with around $15bn AUM. Their strategy is to open the London office by starting with a team of successful traders. They are committing a large amount of their US capital to this activity, having spent a lot of time in discussions with investors. Some of the capital is proprietary to the firm. The firm has also raised capital in Europe. The office is planned to grow in staff numbers to at least 35 people in the next 2 years and getting the first hires right is absolutely critical. The client is ONLY looking for traders with Sharpes above 1.5 and who have had experience managing capital of at least $50mio USD.
