Portfolio Manager Assistant recruitment

The Portfolio Manager Assistant will work directly with the Portfolio Manager in supporting the business and research needs of the team.  They will work closely with other members of the team on recurring projects, and be responsible for developing and maintaining resources and relationships that are essential to the business.

Responsibilities:

• Provide business support and relationship management for the Portfolio Manager.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of portfolio applications and research models.

• Apply statistical methods and analysis while assisting in the gathering and organization of market data.

• Develop and maintain proprietary databases, reports, and monitors.

• Manage vendor relationships and maintain collaborative platforms.

• Coordinate activities with the middle office, back office, and accounting.

• Support the Portfolio Manager with administrative tasks and projects, including organizing and prioritizing the work flow with the various members of the group.

• Work on special and recurring projects.  Provide back-up support to other individuals as needed. 

• Perform related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelors degree or equivalent.

• Knowledge of Bloomberg and familiarity with securities transactions.

• Self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment as well as work autonomously.

• Proven ability to consistently deliver high quality work under tight time constraints with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks concurrently. 

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems accurately and with sufficient attention to detail.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and MS Word.

• High degree of integrity and the ability to develop cooperative relationships.

• Position requires an entrepreneurial approach to task management.  Ability to take control and manage tasks independently to completion.
