Portfolio Manager / Business Manager

Essential Skills: Experience supporting a large and complex IT portfolio with budgets exceeding $25m; experience managing projects of budgets in excess of $5m; Experience of managing the control and assurance of a portfolio of projects with a global footprint;  experience of risk assessment, management and mitigation in complex project environments; demonstrable project management skills with an application development environment; Deep and through understanding of financial and business management including: multi-year budgets, benefits, forecasts, invoicing, actuals and financial variance;

Desirable: Commodities Trading or Investment Banking business experience ideally working with the front to back office of a global trading business; accountancy qualification and work experience.

The purpose of the portfolio is to manage and support the Senior IT management team within the organisation and provide and deliver timely, accurate, consistent and informative executive information. There are six main aspects to this role and they include:

This is an exciting role that has amazing growth and career potential to it, as the client is looking for a potential COO further down there career path, with direct exposure to board level management and the Group CIO also. This role needs someone to be strong with financials and business management. This is not an end to end delivery role but will need some delivery skills from time to time.

This role will suit experienced VP level business managers, Senior PMO managers or Programme managers from global trading organisations, ideally with some knowledge of physical commodities trading.
