Portfolio Manager – Private Equity recruitment
This is a newly created role within a major Industry Super Fund, with ultimate responsibility for a diverse range of Private Equity Investments and unlisted assets. The new Portfolio Manager will source deals from the market , either directly or through fund of funds, and identify opportunities to enhance returns through asset selection and portfolio construction. You will ensure that the day to day running of the funds meets the performance objectives set. To be a candidate you will have:
• A relevant tertiary qualification followed by a minimum of five years' experience in a financial services role with responsibility for managing assets.
• Strong understanding of the Private Equity landscape and good connectivity with market participants.
• Sound working knowledge of underlying agreements and experience working on legacy portfolios and workouts.
• Exposure to a broad range of listed and unlisted assets of all shapes and sizes, and a demonstrable track record of making sound commercial decisions.
The role offers unusual scope and breadth to streamline and add value to a significant Private Equity portfolio, in an expanding business which is well resourced.
