The Portfolio Manager will be focused on specific EMEA local rates and FX trading. It will be his/her responsibility to develop fundamentally and technically based trading strategies, and implementing and managing them in those markets. The Portfolio Manager will be part of a small team focused on generating absolute return in the EMEA local markets as part of our EMEA Team for the EMEA Fund and the Emerging Markets Fund (EMF). This person must be able to function within a swiftly growing business and must be able to prioritize to the needs of the organization.
Principal Accountabilities:
- 90% Deal origination and analysis, deal execution, counterparty relationships and market analysis.
- 5% Due diligence, legal/tax compliance, and deal structuring.
- 5% Intra and inter fund communication.
Additional information:
Knowle Hill Park is the Head Office of Cargill in the UK, and home to approximately 160 staff. The offices are situated within a large landscaped park. Amenities on site include free car parking, a restaurant, a fully equipped gym, and a small golf course. Nearby Cobham has a range of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. Cobham and Stoke D'Abernon station is approximately 35 minutes from London Waterloo by train, and approximately 1 mile from the office. A shuttle bus makes a few runs each morning and evening between the site and the station.
Qualifications
Required
- College Degree (preferably in Economics, Finance or Engineering)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience trading EMEA local markets FX and rates
- High degree of derivatives and financial mathematics knowledge
- Deeply familiar with EMEA local markets instruments.
- Strong Analytical capabilities
- Good command of Excel spreadsheets
- Demonstrated highest ethical standards
- Strong ability to identify and assess market risk
- Team player.
