Key requirements of the Portfolio Manager role
- Assist Relationship Managers in the client management of high risk client situations.
- Manage a small client portfolio, delivering and exceeding income objectives.
- Proactively undertake risk monitoring and credit stewardship.
- Assist in the delivery of strategies designed to maximise income and minimise bad doubtful debt.
- Liaise with all areas of Invoice Finance and maintain relationships across the RBS Group
- Assist Business Development with the Client Acquisitions process, including set up and production of legal information
The Individual
- A knowledge of Invoice Finance and/or Asset Based Lending would be an advantage but is not essential
- Experience of working with cross functional areas
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to challenge and ask searching questions based on information gathered.
