Portfolio Manager recruitment
Main Duty: Form part of an active portfolio management team
Job Description:
• Monitoring and active management of portfolios.
• Monitoring credit developments.
• Analysing potential transactions and presentation to Investment Committees.
• Assisting in the negotiating and executing of transactions with counterparties.
• Actively participate in sharing credit market information through conference calls with Risk department and monitoring corporate actions.
• Providing reports on developments in the portfolios.
• Some foreign travel may be required
Experience:
• Candidates should ideally have at least 5 years experience in the financial markets. Knowledge of Fixed Income, derivatives, Public Sector and Infrastructure assets and structured products would be considered an advantage.
• Individuals with portfolio management experience will also be considered.
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Knowledge of Bloomberg Platforms
• Credit Analysis Skills
Our client is looking for a good solid PM, that has no ego, is flexible, and easy going - Someone who would fit in and be happy to be assigned to where the action is versus worrying about a more defined role. The role will be defined in the sense that it will be a PM role but you will not necessarily be allocated to a specific desk. The successful candidate will be given exposure to all three.
