THE COMPANY

Our client is an independent investment company whose key investment objective is to deliver long term real returns for its clients.

The company manages both segregated portfolios and funds, with either long-only or long-short real return mandates.

Their clients include institutions, charities, trusts and private clients.

The company is 100% owned by the employees and is run with a partnership culture.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a result of a significant increase in their AUM over the last 3 years, the business is looking to strengthen its private client business with the addition of a portfolio manager's assistant to the team.

The role will be supporting a team of three fund managers and will be responsible for completing the account opening procedurs, including gathering money laundering documentation.

You will also be required to implement investment decisions across client portfolios, which will include - dealing with client queries, monitoring cash balances in portfolios, managing client fees and completing client reports.

YOUR PROFILE

You will be bright and numerate with ideally some understanding of accounting and economics.

Experience of working in a similar role for another asset manager would be the client's ideal profile.

With regard to systems, experience of using Excel formulae and Bloomberg would be highly desirable. as would a willingness to "roll up sleeves" and be flexible to meet tight deadlines.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work for a leading hedge fund, in a role that will allow you to work closely with the whole of the Private Client team.
