Portfolio Operations Analyst 3 (Corporate Actions)
Responsible for working with the Portfolio Operations team focusing on the corporate action, proxy and class action processes. This involves gathering time critical information, communicating internally to reach decisions on each action and sending instructions to custodians before the specified deadline. This position will also be responsible for posting all transactions to the necessary internal systems timely and accurately. This data is sent to multiple downstream Wells Capital systems, including trading, risk, accounting, and portfolio manager reporting systems so accuracy of data is required as its so highly visible. Working Relationships This person works closely with team members and custodians to ensure all corporate actions are acted on and posted to systems accurately in a timely manner. This position will also work closely with accounting, IT and Portfolio Management teams as part of projects as well as day-to-day responsibilities. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of operations experience. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to research, compile, and perform in-depth analysis on critical operational data. Ability to independently provide summary and recommendations on operational data. Possess good troubleshooting, technical, and resolution skills. Ability to multi-task on projects. Has exceptional reporting and analytical skills and a general understanding of operations policies and procedures. - Corporate action/reorg experience. - Exceptional technical skills. - Proficient with Microsoft Excel. - Microsoft Access experience. - Strong ability to interpret data and utilize information to develop solutions and best practices independently. - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Must work well in a team environment. - Ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous responsibilities. - Ability to work well with a team located across locations. - Ability to think critically in order to mitigate potential risk.
