Portfolio Optimisation Manager recruitment

The primary focus is to optimise the risk adjusted return of the Everyday Banking portfolio through the development and effective implementation of sophisticated credit risk strategies in order to deliver industry leading performance in terms in key areas such as arrears and impairments.

You will develop, implement and maintain the Everyday Banking risk strategies for new business and customer management to identify and action key measures for optimisation and to drive changes to credit risk strategies. This will consequently drive loss rate optimisation of high risk segments, the elimination of toxic cells, whilst maximising returns within risk appetite limits and defined portfolio strategy. You will ensure effective and compliant day-to-day management of risk portfolio to ensure effective delivery to customers and stakeholders and develop strategies for budgeting/forecasting/planning and credit quality of the portfolio, in the context of the economic outlook and consistent with the agreed Risk Appetite limits.

You will be required to collaborate with and influence key stakeholders to ensure the effective management of the current accounts portfolio via a combination of Product, Pricing and Credit Risk Strategies.

• We require you to have the ability to interact with and leverage relationships across Credit Risk and the wider organisation. You will have the ability to work to and meet challenging deadlines whilst being a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Financial services experience, particularly within a credit risk environment is required with knowledge of the credit risk landscape and practices and knowledge of risk management methodologies and operations. You must have the ability to deliver tactical and strategic solutions and have experience of SAS and/or SQL.
