Portfolio Strategy Manager recruitment
In your role as Portfolio Strategy Manager you will support the division in meeting its strategic aim to actively manage its portfolio, through contribution to the Portfolio Strategy team in leading and supporting the development of executive level proposals for the division’s risk appetite and target credit portfolios. You will also be analysing, optimising and monitoring the division’s portfolio performance, including risk, concentration, risk adjusted capital and risk/returns and contributing to enhancing the Divisions analytical capability.
We are looking for you to have prior experience in development and implementation of risk and / or portfolio management frameworks within a banking, financial markets or a consulting environment. You should have a solid grounding in credit risk and portfolio management, including risk appetite setting, credit policy, concentration risk analysis, capital allocation frameworks, Basel 2 and pricing frameworks. Also key will be your understanding of approaches to credit risk measurement, including PD, LGD, EAD and risk adjusted capital as well as knowledge of fundamental transactional credit analysis, the credit market environment and drivers of risk within economies and industry sectors.
Ideally you will have a logical and creative approach to problem solving and have the ability to challenge your own work and that of peers to ensure analysis is accurate and conclusions make sense in the context of the wider business.
