Portfolio Test Manager

My European wide insurance client are currently looking for Portfolio Test Managers to provide best practice guidance and offshore expertise for critical and major projects currently ongoing within the company

Key Accountabilities
Strategy
*Provide best practice advice and guidance to other non-testing resource (e.g. for UAT) and offshore vendor testing capability in order to assist in the wider team maintaining an understanding of industry trends in testing
*Support the Head of Testing Services, ensuring continuous improvement within the testing function in order to help drive the strategic agenda
*Build and maintain relationships with third party suppliers, managing immediate resource demands

People Management
*Effectively managing Vendor through
-Ensures the assignment of work meets the skills of the resource and the needs of the organisation
-Effective communication that engages Vendor and encourages them to maximise their value add

Essential knowledge, skills, qualification and experience:
*Experience of managing large and complex projects across multiple platforms, utilising Offshore Vendors
*Experience of managing complex new system deliveries, integration and migration programmes
*Superior knowledge of broad range of testing tools
*Strong understanding and experience working with different development and testing methodologies
*Strong understanding of risk-based techniques and approaches
*Up-to-date view of Industry standards and trends and able to articulate a view on how to adapt these to changing organisational circumstances
*Strong presentation skills at Senior management level
*Demonstrable history of running first class outsourced testing operation
