Post Settlement Process Manager recruitment

Management of Internal and External reconciliation process around Actual versus Implied breaks and all Nostro breaks. The team comprises of 4 FTE onshore and 15 FTE offshore.

Managerial duties include: regular one to one meetings with the onshore team members, team reviews, half yearly and annual PMM process, recognising and managing talent, setting SMART and Clear objectives and ensuring team objectives are on track and facilitating their achievement.

Risk Control - attend Risk and SAR meetings, as well as ad-hoc risk mitigation initiatives and ensuring HOB process. Owning and facilitating ad hoc projects allocated to the wider team, analysing, prioritising and escalating where required to achieve successful delivery of projects by the team.

Management of the offshore Nostro AVI teams, which total 15, includes weekly interaction with the offshore management, SLA meetings, monitoring of the Key Performance Indicators, work drivers, weekly capacity model, quarterly review of Standard operating procedures, FMEA's and base lines.

Understanding of booking procedures for Credit, Rates Equity trade flows as well as a good understanding of the settlement systems and flows is desirable but not essential.

PEX management - ensure the team look to improve their processes and engage a wider audience in order to achieve their goals, critically assessing each step of their processes to ensure strict controls are in place and being followed rigorously. Developing and Implementing remediation plans in case of breaches.

High level of interaction with the Global and Regional Functional heads, ensuring all Clearing Services objectives are met to the expected high standards. Attendance to and representation of the team on the weekly SAR amongst others, so strong co-ordination and influencing skills would be a distinct benefit.

Requirements
The role will suit a candidate with a good understanding of all aspects of operational risk, with a good level of attention to detail, with an appetite to understand the bigger picture whilst owning and enhancing sometimes complex processes / procedures and system dependencies, and ability to manage time and team to strict deadlines.

The ideal candidate would have some settlements experience, as well as experience of owning reconciliations and other risk mitigation tools, and a degree of vendor management (beneficial but not essential).
