Power and Performance Analyst / Engineer
OVERVIEW:
Our client is a hugely popular computer manufacturing company seeking multiple, senior-level Analysts / Engineers to work on smart phone and tablet platform Power and Performance analysis support. This will include power and performance measurements, analysis of data, debugging, filing bugs, and creating reports.
We need candidates in the Folsom area, Portland (OR) area, and Phoenix area. If you have hardware and coding background, contact us immediately!
REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc / BEE or Master's degree with 7+ years of practical experience in phone / computer industry on development of platform hardware and software solutions
- Good understanding of requirements, architecture concepts and micro-architecture / implementation of: CPU and/or SoC, Application Processor, Wireless Modem, Sensors, etc.
- Practical experience with power and performance analysis / optimizations and associated hardware / software tradeoffs, performance and power testing methodology and benchmarks
- Proficiency in Linux / C and/or Win / C programming
- Proficiency in using lab equipment for power measurement / monitoring (e.g. National Instruments), network simulator (Agilent)
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Strong Linux / Android and or Windows (Win8) operating system working knowledge
- Strong device driver / middleware development and optimization experience in one or more of the following domains: Audio, Video, Graphics, Imaging, Storage, Security, browser and streaming
- Communication sub-systems and Industry Standard interfaces
- Ability to deeply analyze Power and Performance data, debug and propose optimizations and/or experiments that would lead to optimizations
- Product level experience in optimizing software to improve results against industry standard benchmarks for performance and power
