Job Description:
The Operation and Engineering Center (OEC) provides an integrated approach to project management, product development, engineering, and commissioning for the Large Drive verticals which include marine and shipbuilding, pulp and paper, and mining and minerals.
Covering the project engineering lifecycle from basic engineering to final acceptance and support, services to the business unit and customers include: concept and proposal generation, project management and engineering.

As Power Electronics Engineer you will be an integral part Mobile Mining Products team.

Responsibilities:
• Update / modify designs for product improvements, cost reductions, address obsolete parts, errors in design, customer complaints
• Root Cause Failure Analysis of Field and Warranty issues
• Design support for service issues
• Engineering Change Process
• Update manuals /documentation for existing products and projects
• Update all schematics, mechanical drawings, documentation to support production

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience in power electronic hardware design/development and/or for drives systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of AC/DC Drives, Power Conversion DC/AC/DC.
Demonstrated experience managing and driving solutions to meet customer requirements, project budget, schedule and internal constraints
Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
Ability to travel up to travel 30% of the time
IGBT Inverter experience not required but a plus
Knowledge of SAP preferred
Experience with Closed Loop Controls preferred
Design Experience for mining or traction equipment preferred
