This Power Electronics Engineer position will lead productivity, quality and reliability improvement activities involving design, development, testing and evaluation of devices that utilize power electronics.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (others may be added):

- Maintain a high level of technical knowledge in the areas of electric drives to maximize productivity, quality and drive business growth.
- Become familiar with TCS applied or unitary electrical and controls products and identify quality and productivity improvement opportunities.
- Perform in-depth analysis utilizing analytical tools available in the industry.
- Work with software, mechanical, and reliability engineers across the IR sectors to develop system requirements.
- Develop and maintain standardize qualification test standards for power electronics.
- Conduct testing, analyze and interpret results and execute design updates based on the results.
- Write clear technical reports and present results in formal and informal environments.
- Develop project plans, prioritize tasks, and provide regular project updates.
- Work with individual product groups to design prototype units, support field trials and develop application-based solutions.
- Serve as the technical lead in support of the Strategic Supply Team's strategic and material productivity initiatives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS or KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

- Strong interest in control systems and power electronics.
- Competency in Microsoft products including, Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
- Ability to lead a team or work as a member of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Must be tenacious with quality and customer service orientation.
