Power Gas Product Control AVP/London/£70k
Expanding commodities desk is currently searching for an experienced product control with an extensive Power Gas background to work in their London office. The desk trades both Physical and Derivative products within energy and this role will particularly focus upon the physical desk with exposure to derivatives.
Responsibilities:
- Daily PL and Risk production for the Trading desk.
- Understanding Explaining PL residuals.
- Implement improvements to the system infrastructure control environment.
- Be the point of the contact for the Physical Front Office traders.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience within Physical Power Gas Product Control.
- Previous exposure to commodity derivatives.
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the markets including pricing issues and trading strategies.
- Ability to identify control gaps, defining resolution and taking to closure.
This is an ideal opportunity for a strong product controller looking for a new challenge, where they will be given ownership of a role and front office interaction on a daily basis. There is realistic progression for mobility in the role towards a VP role within 12 months or to a front office position.
