Power/ Process Engineer Job in Cary, North Carolina US
Aker Solutions is looking for a power/process engineer to perform project work in the power and related industries. Directly related industry experience should include a minimum 4 years supporting process design engineering projects which include fossil fuel boilers, biomass fired boilers, co-generation, steam and gas turbines, and APC technology.
Candidate will be responsible for conceptual design, process development and detailed process design. Qualified candidate will have direct experience in the power industry. Duties include generating PFDs, PIDs, sizing and specifying equipment, start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities. Knowledge of applicable codes and permitting requirements are a must.
Training and Experience
BS and/or MS Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree with power industry experience. Four years minimum experience with excellent engineering judgment to ensure that projects are brought to successful completion on time and within budget. Candidate should possess strong computer skills and work in a team environment, possess excellent written (documentation) and oral (presentation) communication skills. AutoCAD skills are a plus. Willingness to travel is required.
